As a fellow bookworm, I know the struggle of losing track of a page. A few days ago,as I was reading "To Kill A Mockingbird" a few ideas of bookmarks popped into my mind.
And we shall start with the easy DIY-s!
1. Stickers!
To make the bookmark, just fold the paper in two and scribble cute words on it. Then, to make sure it sticks out, just put a sticker right on the top edge of it.
Not only it looks super cute, but it is done within a few minutes and it comes in very handy and it's really practical!
2.Maps!
As  ridiculous as this sounds, a map makes a great bookmark. Before you come at me for ruining a map - I have 100 maps of the world so I don't necessarily need them. Why not turn them into something useful?

As you can see, I chose South America to be my bookmark.
Once again, just cut a piece of paper in a map, fold in two then cut the edges so they're straight and parallel with each other.
3.Magazine or book article!
It didn't take me a lot of time to find this cute part in a magazine, and as soon as I saw it I imagined using it as a bookmark. So I cut it in a "banner" type of form.

There are a lot of cute articles for you to choose from - the options are endless!
And it also sticks out really well - so you can just gently open it.
4.Easy tape!
For those of you who prefer something really easy and quick to make, while maintaining a modest and cute look at the same time - this DIY might be just for you!
At first, you need to cut a small piece of paper and washi tape.
Take a side of the washi, and tape it to a side of the piece of paper. Then tape the other edge of the tape on the opposite side of the paper, and just secure the washi tape is sticked into each other.
It's very easy and I don't think this even needed a "tutorial" but, oh well!
5.Drawing!
Or doodling? Since I love melons, I figured I would draw a kawaii one!
To begin with you're going to need a piece of paper folded in two. Then you're going to cut it however you want - shaped like a fruit, coffee, animal, food .. your call! You just have to make sure you're going to leave the edge uncut so the bookmark stays in two parts.
Although I left a SMAAALL part held together, it doesn't matter because it looks cute,so!
6.Sticky notes!
Sticking two sticky notes instantly makes a fast bookmark (or just one sticky note at that!).
But I must warn you, it can get pretty annoying when they're not glued well to each other.
You can't say this isn't cute, right?
And that concludes the list of these 6 easy-to-make cute bookmarks!
You can find other pretty ones on pinterest - some even are origami ! However, they take more time, so.
This was it for today's post. I hope you enjoyed it.
(Did anyone notice a change on the theme?)
All the love,

Today's post belongs to the inspiration category.I really felt like I needed to talk about the fear of getting out of the comfort zone, and holding back because we're scared. It's like a mind prison, which we're not allowed to escape, but we can when we're ready.
If you related to any of that, keep this in mind: "The adventure begins at the end of your comfort zone".What's the point of living,if you want to be safe constantly and not experience some amazing things while making unforgettable memories?I'm sharing a bit of my story here and how I got inspired to write this post.
This friday,I went to do a play on a different city with my acting squad. After the play, which turned out a success (and I actually had the gut to act in front of thousand people),our teacher (who was our director at the same time),said that we deserved to take a rest after months of rehearsals and sent us to a horse ranch as a suprise. We all bought tickets.
I really doubted myself.I didn't want to ride a horse, and negative thoughts were flowing in my head.  ; 'What if I fall?' "What if the horse slips?" "What if the horse runs away?".But then,a voice in my head said "If you don't experience riding a horse,it will remain a desire and you will regret you didn't experience it today".So I went with it.And I did it.I was actually scared, but hey,now I know what feeling it is to be on top of a horse and feel your body jump up and down. Here's an actual footage:
That person was telling me where to lean on,and I seem pretty chill in the picture but inside I was screaming.Haha.
But yeah,I learned a lesson, and I thought I'd share it with you.If you ever come across a situation like mine, please remember what I did and have courage to do so,too.Remember that life was made for us to collect memories, experiences and crazy decision.Say YES.Do it.Take the risk. What's the worst that could happen?
Never miss an opportunity, you will regret it.Here's a few quotes to live by and remember:

Hi everyone. It's friday - which means that it's the 'inspiration post' day of the week. For today I wanted to talk about one of the biggest issues in our society which is bullying.Get tissues and start reading!

I really don't know how to open up about this,I'm scared it'll be boring and you'll leave..You're probably being bullied and that's why you clicked on this.Read my story and then you'll get the advice.

As some of you know,I'm a teen.I'm in 9th grade (a freshman in every country but mine.In mine it's the last year of middle school smh).I've been bullied since I was in preschool.I was just too quiet to ever defend myself.I'm soft.I can't say two words to someone without crying. This was their advantage. My innocence and character. As I grew up,people told me worse and worse things. Now,in the 9th grade,it's becoming too hard to handle.People call me ugly all the time, even my parents, family and closest friends...I get it.I'm ugly. Why would someone remind others that they're ugly?I never understood this. Why would someone go and yell the ugliest things and names to someone who've never done nothing bad to them? And I try to ignore them.Trust me,I act like I don't care but once I come home I cry a lot.I wish it could only stop with being called ugly.I get called stupid too.I hate the feeling of not knowing what to say or to defend my own self.I know I'm not stupid.Otherwise my grades wouldn't be this good (all 5,which in my country are like A-s).I just don't have the ability to reply fast and be witty.I wish I was witty.Oh man that would be perfect. It's just too hard to breathe, you know? It's hard to enjoy life with their voices in your head..I can't find the right words to describe the feeling, but I'm sure most of you get what I'm talking about.
Nevertheless,I chose to be positive.Of course,I'm not positive all the time, cause everyone has that 'breakdown' moment once in a while, but I've been able to build an empire in my head that protects me from the bad words. Not exactly since I still get affected by them, but not as much as I used to be.I started a blog,on which I found happiness and responsibility.I felt like I had an actual friend.Opening this blog,I started exploring the Pinterest world, finding a lot of gems to keep me happy.Nowadays I just find joy in the little things, such as planners, washi tapes, singing, drawing and of course blogging. It's like my little world.Like I have my own world with my own people and every once in a while people try to occupy my world and start a war there..
Long story short,my biggest advice over here is to start a blog, even if you have no idea how to use it.In the beginning I had an ugly theme with pictures of other people. With time you'll get used to the blogging world. It's free after all.
If not blogging, take up swimming,reading,drawing,singing...wherever you find yourself happier! Remember that their words are said for a reason. Don't let them WIN. Don't let them waste your life, when you have the ability to make it colorful and beautiful. You're never alone.I know you'll probably rolling your eyes right now,and I know it's cliche, but I'm here for you everytime you need me.I love listenting to stories.Just email me (vlerandera@gmail.com).If not,God is always with you. What goes around comes back around....a study says that the ones who bully usually have bad grades. So you'll grow up,you'll have a successful blog/life while they do a hard job for 12 hours a day just to get a little money to survive. If you stay determined, you'll win over them, even if you don't have as much power as they do..trust me it'll get better.Life is full of suprises. If God wanted you to "die" (as you say to yourself),he'd probably take your spirit by now.But He wants you to experience a new day, week, month etc.Your life may change 360 degrees during this time.So be patient and work hard.Take your mind off the bullies, because people throw rocks at things that shine!.
